Most visitors to Southern Spain have heard of Granada and Cordoba, but a day out in Ronda is usually a very pleasant surprise for guests on our sightseeing holidays.

Ronda is one of Andalucia's loveliest towns. It stands on a towering plateau in the mountains of Malaga Province, and is famous throughout Spain for the plunging river gorge which divides the medieval from the 18th century parts of the town. This gorge is known as "El Tajo" - The Cliff and is spanned by a stone bridge, which once housed a prison. Visitors love to peer down into the gorge, to see the waters of the River Guadalevín

Ronda is also famous for its bullring, the oldest, and the most beautiful one in Spain; the arena itself is also the country's largest. When there are no fights, the bullring is open to visitors, and has a fascinating museum with many mementos of Spain's most renowned bullfighters.

As with the other trips Steve and Sheila will collect you from your holiday accommodation at times you choose and drive you to Ronda. The journey from Nerja takes 2 - 2.5 hours so you may wish for a break on route. As usual the day is yours to organise as you wish. In distance terms the journey is not as far as Cordoba but the last quarter of the route follows a mountainous, windy road. The views are stunning, but progress is slower. We usually drop guests by the bull ring. We agree a time to collect and at the agreed time we meet up again for the drive back.

We offer a full door to door service at times you choose. The cost of our day tour from Nerja is 200€ per trip (not per person), with a maximum of 6 people. Ronda also is a fascinating place to visit on our sightseeing holidays.

So please ask for a price to see if we have other people who want to go to Ronda when you do. If there are 2 of you the cost is 100 euros each, but if there are 6 people it is only 35 euros per person!
