Cordoba is a captivating city with many attractive monuments and sights.

We offer a full door to door service at times you choose. The cost is 230€ per Nerja day trip (not per person), with a maximum of 4 people.

(If there are only two of you and you would like to share the costs on one of our Nerja day tours, please let us know and we will try to find another couple)

As with the other Nerja Day Trips , Steve and Sheila will collect from your holiday accommodation at times you choose and drive you to Cordoba. The journey from Nerja takes 2 - 2.5 hours so you may wish for a break on route. As usual the day is yours to organise as you wish. We usually drive you to the centre of Cordoba having given you a map and suggested the best places to visit - and which ones shut for siesta. The mosque is open all day so guests generally go there after the Alcazaba. We agree a time to collect guests and at the agreed time we meet up again for the drive back. Cordoba is also a fascinating place to visit on one of our sightseeing holidays.

Cordoba is a sightseeing paradise and yet its compact historic centre also means a Nerja day excursion here can be the most memorable day of your holiday in Nerja. When the Moors occupied most of modern Spain, Cordoba was their capital city and in the eight century they built a fabulous mosque and fortress. When the Christians conquered the city in 1236 it was converted into a magnificent Catholic cathedral and it is now a fascinating building with majestic pillars and is literally awe inspiring. The Mosque/Cathedral occupies a square around which are narrow winding streets and tall buildings. Also within easy walking distance are the old Jewish quarter and a synagogue built in 1315. The alcazaba (fortress) is another famous sight and it also has beautiful gardens, full of colour, pools and natural shade.
