Guided Walking Holidays in Andalucia, Southern Spain

Our very special walking holiday gives a small group of friends or family, the opportunity to have a fabulous unique holiday. Based in the beautiful mountains of Axarquia in Southern Spain, Sheila and Steve who have lived in this stunning area for several years, create the ideal holiday, tailormade to your requirements as to length, speed,uphill or downhill etc . The first day's walk gives Sheila the opportunity to get to know you and suggest walks you will enjoy for the rest of the holiday. The walks are all easy to moderate and are on good quality tracks. Steve drives the group, in our comfortable 4 X 4 vehicle to the start of the walk, Sheila leads the walk and then Steve picks the party up at the end of the walk, but we are very flexible, so he can drive along the track and collect people earlier if they wish. The benign climate makes walking enjoyable for most of the year and the stunning views of mountains, blue skies and the Mediterranean are unforgettable. We offer a very high quality, personal service and do our utmost to ensure our guests have a really special holiday.
After several hours walking, we find our guests usually like to enjoy lunch at a good quality, rustic restaurant where they can enjoy magnificent food, fine Spanish wine and fabulous views.

Our walking holiday accommodation is on a self catering basis in sympathetically renovated village houses in either peaceful Daimalos or busy Competa, or full board in a fantastic rural hotel or bed and breakfast in a beautiful white village. Daimalos is a tiny picturesque white village, set in beautiful countryside. Competa is a very attractive white town, with narrow winding streets, on the edge of the National Park and has shops, bars and restaurants. Both are only 25 mins from the coast and 1 hour from Malaga airport.
