Frequently Asked Questions on Sheila's Spanish Sightseeing Holidays
What is the weather like?
Axarquia has the sunniest climate in Europe. In all but the hot midsummer months, conditions are generally very good for a sight-seeing holiday, but in summer it is too hot to do much more than laze on a beach or swim in a pool. However, out of season it can get cold at night and can even rain!
Will we be able to eat out?
Competa has lots of excellent bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the self catering accommodation or the Hotel Balcon. It also has some good shops. Canillas de Albaida is much smaller but has a good selection of restaurants, though you could always eat at the hotel.
Will we have to speak Spanish?
Not unless you want to! Steve and Sheila aim to organise everything for you and so will speak on your behalf if necessary.
