Frequently Asked Questions
What should we bring with us?
Clothing is whatever your usual holiday clothes are for the time of year, but definitely bring your camera. In the jeep we have books on birds, trees, flowers etc. We also have binoculars, chairs and a cool box of cold drinks. You will need sensible shoes and a hat.
Do we need to hire a car?
Not if you choose to stay in the town house in Competa. In Daimalos you may prefer to hire a car. However, we will take you to a restaurant as part of each walk, so you may decide to cater for yourselves. Also we are more than happy to stock the kitchen from a list you have sent us previouslyThere is a small shop in the village, which sells basic provisions. If you do decide to hire a car we can organise this for you.
What is the weather like?
Axarquia has the sunniest climate in Europe. In all but the hot midsummer months, conditions are generally very good for a walking holiday. However, it can get cold at night and can even rain!

How do you cope with bigger parties?
Our drivers are all friends with 4 X 4 vehicles, who we recruit when necessary. This enhances our flexibility.
